BRADLEY CALLS UP ENGLISH-BASED STARS United States coach Bob Bradley has named eight English-based players in his squad ahead for friendlies against Ecuador and Guatemala later this month. The 24-man squad will come together for a training camp in Bradenton, Florida on March 18 in preparation for the games on March 25 and March 28 respectively. Watford's Jay DeMerit and Sheffield Wednesday's Frank Simek have been called up for the first time and Bradley is looking forward to seeing how they blend with the more seasoned members of the squad. Bradley explained: "This camp provides a great opportunity to see some of our experienced players from Europe, as well as some new faces," Bradley said. "By the end of this camp, we will have had the chance to work with a vast majority of our player pool. It will be extremely beneficial when we have to make decisions about the Gold Cup and Copa America."
