Paolo Di Canio praised Swindon's fans after his side ended their League Two title-winning season with a goalless draw at Bradford.
The Robins took more than 1,200 supporters to Valley Parade and Di Canio gave his thanks for their contribution to a hugely successful year for the Wiltshire outfit.
"The fans are champions," he said. "It is easy to follow a team at the top, but they were there in the winter, when we weren't near the top, when we were struggling, so we wanted to say thank you to them at the end."
Swindon sealed the title with a 5-0 win over Port Vale last week and Di Canio insisted he did not want the season to end.
He added: "We turned the corner in the new year and I would rather re-live the last four months than see the season ending."
