Evans: Confident of play-off place
EVANS TO GATECRASH PLAY-OFFS New Rotherham manager Steve Evans believes his side can enter the play-offs through the back door. The Millers, who appointed Evans on Monday following last month's sacking of Andy Scott, are four points adrift of the top seven with four games to go.
They are hunting down Cheltenham, who they beat last week, Oxford and Crewe, though they face a tough test on Saturday at Shrewsbury.
"The shackles are off, they have won four out of five," Evans said. "We go to Shrewsbury, a team who is unbeaten at home for over a year, and our work will be cut out.
"But what I do know that if we go there and get a result then the likes of Oxford, Cheltenham and Crewe will be worried.
"If we can win at Shrewsbury on Saturday it would shake a few people up with three games to go. Historically one team always gets in on the last day of the season. There is no reason why we can't win there."
