Yeovil manager Gary Johnson expressed his delight after his side reached 50 points with a 3-1 victory over struggling Rochdale.
First-half goals from Jonathan Franks and Richard Hinds set the Glovers on their way, and substitute Michael Woods added another after the break before Rochdale grabbed a consolation through Jonathan Grounds' own goal.
The Glovers, who virtually assured survival with the win, have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes since Johnson returned to Huish Park, and he admits they could have been challenging for a play-off spot had they displayed such form at the start of the season.
He said: "The results we have been getting since I came back to Somerset have been really encouraging.
"I have pointed out to the lads that if recent form had been spread over the season, we would not be far from the play-offs.
"I was particularly delighted with Richard Hinds, who had a great game for us. His little girl was in the grandstand so it was a good time to get his first goal. He is the grandfather of the squad but he is playing like a man in his mid-twenties."
