Alan Knill insists his Scunthorpe side are not clear of relegation trouble just yet, despite Friday's 1-0 home win over Exeter.
Jon Parkin scored the sixth goal of his loan spell from Cardiff, coming off the bench to squeeze a shot under goalkeeper Artur Krysiak in the League One encounter at Glanford Park.
"We still have five games to play and some others have six - so we still need some more points," Knill insisted.
"But after a difficult first-half to the season, we have put ourselves in a good position. We have hit form at the right time. We are now nine games unbeaten and I want to see us try and win our last five games.
"We have a good squad now and the confidence is good."
