KENNEDY KEEN ON DALE RIPOSTE
Rochdale defender Jason Kennedy has urged his team-mates for a reaction after conceding a stoppage-time goal to Walsall.
Dale had recovered from 2-0 down at home to the Saddlers to take the lead 3-2 in stoppage-time. However, immediately from the kick-off Walsall equalised to level the game and break Rochdale hearts. That sort of setback could be the catalyst for a loss of confidence, but Kennedy wants the squad to react in the right manner.
"To come back from two goals down and then take the lead in the last minute, everyone was on top of the world. Then 30 seconds later it was like going from the top of the world to feeling absolutely demoralised," he told the club's official website. "It is really hard to explain how it felt going from such a high to such a low in the space of a minute."
"But you've got to pick yourselves up, dust yourself down and go again. As long as the lads put all their effort in like they did in the second half on Saturday, we'll have the best of chances to get ourselves out of the situation we are in now. We showed great determination and great fight during that second half, we've just got to maintain that for the 90 minutes."
"We've trained hard, we're still positive and we'll keep fighting until the end of the season. I think on our day we can beat anyone so we'll go out there and give our all in the next six games."
