Bournemouth assistant manager Russ Wilcox has been placed on "gardening leave", the League One club has confirmed.
Wilcox, who only joined the club in December last year, was number two to former boss Lee Bradbury who left the Cherries on Sunday following discussions with chairman Eddie Mitchell.
A statement on the Dorset club's official website said: "AFC Bournemouth has placed Russ Wilcox on gardening leave for two weeks following the departure of Lee Bradbury.
"Wilcox will return to the Seward Stadium in a fortnight to discuss his future with the club."
Bournemouth's youth team manager Paul Groves will take control of first-team affairs for the immediate future, with head of youth Shaun Brooks assisting him for the clash with Stevenage on Tuesday.
