POTTERS OPEN AT READING
Stoke are newly-promoted Reading's first Premier League opponents on August 18, the opening day of the 2012-13 season.
The Potters ended last year in 14th place and have a mixed bag of fixtures to start a campaign they would hope ends in more positive fashion.
They face Arsenal at home after starting out at the Madejski Stadium and face Manchester City (home) and Chelsea (away) inside the opening six weeks.
Back-to-back away trips to Manchester United and Liverpool follow in October but they spend Christmas at home with Brendan Rodgers' Reds and Southampton the opponents.
New Year's Day brings a daunting trip to champions Manchester City which is followed by the home return against Chelsea.
The end of the season is somewhat kinder with four of their last seven games at home, although two of those come against Manchester United and Tottenham before the season concludes at Southampton.
