The Terrors then have a two-week wait due to Celtic's friendly with Real Madrid in Philadelphia.
'Club 12' are the next to visit Tannadice, before trips to Kilmarnock and St Johnstone at the end of August and beginning of September.
Peter Houston's side host newly-promoted Ross County and Hearts on September 15 and 22 respectively, and they play three of their next four games away at Inverness, Motherwell and St Mirren.
Celtic are the visitors on November 3, with home games against Kilmarnock and Motherwell also fixed for that month.
December opens with a trip to 'Club 12', St Johnstone visit Tannadice on Boxing Day, and United round off the year with a home game against St Mirren on December 29.
The Terrors' first game of 2013 is a trip to Pittodrie to tackle Aberdeen, and they also travel to Kilmarnock and Motherwell either side of a home game with Ross County.
February sees home dates with Edinburgh clubs Hearts and Hibernian, and those games sandwich their second away fixture against Celtic.
'Club 12' provide the opposition for United's penultimate home clash before the split, and they close their normal season at home to Aberdeen on April 6.
