RANIEIRI INTERESTED IN FIORENTINA POST
Claudio Ranieri has revealed he has offered his services to former club Fiorentina.
The 60-year-old coach has been out of a job since being sacked by Inter Milan in March.
Fiorentina are looking for a new tactician after dismissing Delio Rossi earlier this month and Ranieri is interested.
"Right now there has only been a discussion with Fiorentina," Ranieri said to Corriere dello Sport.
"I know the (Fiorentina owners) Della Valle family want to build something important and I asked to meet with them."
Ranieri enjoyed a successful spell at Fiorentina in his four-year spell with the Tuscan club.
He guided the Viola to gain promotion to Italy's top flight in his first season in charge.
Under Ranieri, Fiorentina won the Coppa Italia and the Italian Supercup titles in 1996.
"I am as motivated now as I was the day I took over the responsibility of guiding Fiorentina back to Serie A," Ranieri said.
"I am very motivated.
"I'm just looking for an opportunity to prove it, perhaps in Florence, a city that loves football.
"I do have several offers from other clubs and I will evaluate them, although Florence remains in my heart."
