TITLE RACE NOT OVER, WARNS TOURE
Yaya Toure scored a double to put Manchester City on course for the title - but immediately warned of some hard work ahead.
Toure's brace earned an impressive 2-0 win at Newcastle meaning, that barring any mathematical miracles, a win over QPR next weekend will earn Roberto Mancini's men the championship.
The Ivory Coast midfielder, though, was not prepared to look too far ahead, despite acknowledging the significance of this result.
"It's not finished," he told Sky Sports 1.
"We have one game left and we have to be careful as QPR are fighting to stay in the Premier League.
"We have to continue to work hard and believe.
"The manager told me to deliver today because it was an important game.
"Newcastle are a physical and strong team, but we need to keep improving. This is brilliant for us, though."
Mancini was also quick to sound a note of caution.
"I hope (this is enough) but I think that it is not," he added.
"We have another game - a difficult one like today.
"Today was difficult because Newcastle are a good team. I think we deserved to win, but it was a difficult game.
"But I will only feel confident after QPR."
