Kevin Davies is calling on Bolton to "stand up and be counted" in Sunday's clash with West Brom, a game he sees as one of the biggest in all his time as a Wanderers player.

The contest at the Reebok Stadium is the Trotters' penultimate match of the season and they are currently 18th in the Barclays Premier League, separated from 17th-placed QPR by goal difference alone.

As far as Bolton skipper Davies is concerned, there are few other fixtures that have compared in terms of significance for the club since he joined in 2003 and the 35-year-old forward has stressed the need for Wanderers - who lost 4-1 at home to Tottenham on Wednesday - to give their absolute all.

"Sunday is a huge game for myself, one of the biggest games since I have been here," Davies said.

"We know what is required. It is going to take people to stand up and be counted. It is a huge game and we will have to rally round and give everything."

Bolton take on a West Brom side who are coming to terms with the news that their head coach Roy Hodgson will leave them at the end of the season following his appointment earlier this week as the new England manager.

The effect that may have on the Baggies - who are in the comfort of 10th place at the moment - remains to be seen, but Davies is confident Hodgson will be focused on the task in hand with Albion on Sunday and that the midlands outfit will certainly be no push-overs.

"I can't imagine he will be thinking anything other than West Brom," Davies said of the man he played under when the 64-year-old was boss at Blackburn in the 1990s.

"That is the kind of professional he is. He will want to go out on a high with them. We expect a tough game.

"They are in good form and it is going to be hard for us.

"We have to prepare right and make sure we go and do our business and take three points."

Bolton's Darren Pratley (virus) will miss out again on Sunday, while fellow midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker (leg) will undergo a fitness test ahead of the match along with defender Gretar Steinsson (thigh).

Winger Lee Chung-yong, who recently returned to training, is set to feature for Wanderers' reserves today as he continues his recovery from the broken leg he suffered last summer, although manager Owen Coyle remains reluctant to speculate as to whether or not the 23-year-old South Korea international might play a part for the Trotters first-team before the end of the season.

After hosting West Brom, Bolton take on Stoke at the Britannia Stadium on May 13, and asked if Lee might be involved in the Potters clash, Coyle said: "I don't know the answer to that - what I do know is that he has done very well in his two and a half weeks of training.

"What we can't do is anything detrimental to his long-term wellbeing.

"He will certainly play part of the game today and we will look at it and assess from there where he is at."

Coyle is also keeping an open mind about any potential comeback by Fabrice Muamba.

Bolton midfielder Muamba, who has made a remarkable recovery after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch during an FA Cup match against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on March 17, watched Wanderers' midweek league defeat to Spurs at the Reebok Stadium from the stands.

It was the 24-year-old's first public appearance since the incident, but it is not known whether or not he will play professional football again, and asked about that this morning, Coyle said: "Day by day he gets stronger, but then absolutely - there will come a point when they (Muamba, his family and his medical team) will have to sit and make a decision about what is the best thing for Fabrice moving forward.

"I think ultimately if they were to say that Fabrice was able to play again, that would just complete the whole remarkable journey from where he has come from.

"But whether or not that will ever come to fruition - I am not in a position to say that."

Meanwhile, Coyle has confirmed Bolton are still awaiting FIFA clearance to play winger Gregg Wylde following his move from Rangers.
