Defender Samuel Bouhours believes Ajaccio will be facing the best side in Ligue 1 as they look to keep their survival bid on track against Lille.
The Corsican club are lying 17th in the table, just a solitary point above the relegation zone, but are on a five-match unbeaten run that has seen them secure four draws and a victory over Marseille.
But with Lille battling to hold onto the final Champions League spot in third place, former Le Mans defender Bouhours knows Ajaccio face a major test.
He told the club's website: "Lille is the best team in the French championship. They possess some very good individuals and they are a very good team.
"We know it will be a tough game but it is not an impossible task. What we want is to give everything and try to get a result there.
"Our goal is to beat everyone we play whether it is home or away. We knew that focusing only on our home games will not suffice.
"We are prepared and we have the ability to go win games away from home."
Although Ajaccio's bid to retain their Ligue 1 status looks set to go down to the wire, Bouhours insists the club, who won promotion last season, would have settled for being in their current position if they had been offered it at the start of the campaign.
"Early in the season we would have signed up right away to be 17th in the league after 31 games," he said. "We are doing everything we can to keep us in Ligue 1."
