Didier Drogba has declared his respect for Benfica after Chelsea's Champions League quarter-final opponents took offence at a perceived slight by the striker.
Drogba was filmed appearing to shake with mock fear while watching the draw for the last eight, something Benfica boss Jorge Jesus vowed to answer by beating the Blues in Tuesday night's first leg.
Chelsea instead won 1-0 and Drogba, who did not feature at the Estadio da Luz, told L'Equipe: "It is a great result.
"The most important thing is that we have scored that goal away from home.
"But we have a lot of respect for Benfica. We will take the return leg very seriously."
Team-mate David Luiz claimed on Monday that Drogba's behaviour in the video was actually a response to a prospective semi-final against Barcelona, while Chelsea insisted the matter was "a complete misunderstanding".
