Shrews abandoned, Crawley climb
The Shrews led 1-0 at the time due to a 50th-minute goal from James Collins, but when smoke began billowing out of the East Stand at the Greenhous Meadow Stadium due to an electrical fire, the game was swiftly called off.
Fourth-placed Crawley moved within a point of the automatic promotion places with a 2-1 win at Bradford. Leon Clarke's opener for the visitors was cancelled out by Chris Dagnall, but Gary Alexander fired a 76th-minute winner.
Asa Hall's double boosted Oxford's play-off hopes with a 2-0 win at Accrington Stanley, while Gillingham's top-seven bid continued to falter as a Matt Fish own goal handed hosts Burton a 1-0 win which ends the Brewers' recent dismal run.
In the night's other match, Peter Vincenti scored a 43rd-minute winner for Aldershot at home to Bristol Rovers which keeps the north Hampshire side's outside hopes of making the play-offs alive.
