Doncaster defender Tommy Spurr is set to face Millwall despite learning he will need an operation on his broken hand.

Former Sheffield Wednesday full-back Spurr is set to have surgery at the end of the season, but Rovers boss Dean Saunders is confident he can be patched up to play his part in the club's fight for npower Championship survival.

Shelton Martis is an injury doubt for Saunders once more. The centre-back returned in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Derby but was withdrawn in the second half due to soreness in his hamstring and calf.

Captain Brian Stock is a fortnight away from returning from a torn groin muscle, while fellow midfielder Martin Woods remains absent despite having a painkilling injection in his knee.

Defender George Friend has resumed training following knee ligament trouble, but the game comes too soon for him and forward Habib Bamogo (hamstring).

Millwall will check on skipper Paul Robinson. Centre-half Robinson scored his first goal in more than a year against Southampton on Saturday but finished the 3-2 defeat carrying an ankle knock.

Midfielder Liam Trotter will miss out again with a thigh injury which is expected to sideline him for another fortnight.

With Therry Racon (ankle) out for the season and Tamika Mkandawire (knee) still missing, boss Kenny Jackett is short in midfield and has been linked with a loan move for Sheffield United's Nick Montgomery.

Defender Shane Lowry is expected to miss out again with an ankle problem and back-up goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall (ankle) is also in the treatment room.
