PHIL NEVILLE TAKES U21 ROLE
Everton captain Phil Neville will join the England Under-21 coaching staff for Wednesday's Euro 2013 qualifier against Belgium at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium.
The 35-year-old will take a key step towards a post-playing career in the game when he works under Brian Eastick and John Peacock at the match.
The move, confirmed by Everton, is part of the wider reshuffle of the England coaching ranks following the resignation of Fabio Capello.
Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce has stepped up to take charge of the seniors in the friendly against Holland, also on Wednesday, while Under-20s coach Eastick and Under-17s boss Peacock look after the Under-21s.
Neville was invited to take up the role by the Football Association.
