Rickie Lambert: Has scored 20 goals this season
SAINTS DUO ON AWARDS SHORTLIST Southampton duo Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana head the nominations for the npower Championship Player of the Year award. Striker Lambert, who has 20 goals this season, and midfielder Lallana have been influential in Saints' charge up the Championship table following promotion from League One last term. Cardiff midfielder Peter Whittingham completes the three-man shortlist after his 10 goals this campaign have helped lift the Bluebirds into a play-off position and guided them to the Carling Cup final. Matt Phillips' impressive form for Blackpool has seen him listed in the Young Player of the Year category alongside Brighton's Lewis Dunk and in-demand Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha. Brighton's Gus Poyet, Dougie Freedman of Crystal Palace and former Huddersfield boss Lee Clark are in the running for the Outstanding Managerial Achievement award.
