Falkirk manager Steven Pressley has been issued with a notice of complaint by the Scottish Football Association's compliance officer following his side's Scottish Communities League Cup defeat to Celtic.
The Bairns boss was sent to the stand for the second half of the semi-final at Hampden on Sunday after remonstrating with referee Euan Norris towards the end of the first half.
Pressley was unhappy with a penalty decision which resulted in the opener in Celtic's 3-1 victory.
He has been issued with the notice of complaint for breaching disciplinary rules, which relate to comments made about a match official and the use of offensive, insulting or abusive language towards a match official.
The hearing is set to take place on Thursday, February 23.
