Middlesbrough open their 2012/13 npower Championship season with a trip to South Yorkshire to take on Barnsley.

Boro, who just missed out on the play-offs last season, then face back-to-back home games with Burnley and Crystal Palace.

They visit Leeds on December 22, with the return clash a month later on January 26 while Christmas will have a north west feel at the Riverside with home games against Blackburn on Boxing Day and Blackpool three days later.

Boro will see the new year in at Derby while their campaign will come to an end with a visit to Sheffield Wednesday on May 4.
