George Boyd has rejected a new contract with Peterborough and will be transfer listed in the summer as a result.
The 25-year-old winger has only one year to run on his current deal but has decided to turn down an offer to extend his stay at London Road.
Director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "We have said before that any player who rejects a contract when they have just 12 months to run on their existing deal would be sold.
"It is good business sense to do that. To be fair to George, he has been a fantastic servant to this football club and we obviously wouldn't begrudge him a move because of that.
"However, as with other players, it has to be the right price for this football club."
Boyd, who has scored eight goals this season, joins talismanic striker Paul Taylor in failing to commit his future to the Posh in recent days.
